Israeli official, Yossi Fuchs, has threatened Gaza and mentioned that if Hamas fails to disarm within a 60-day period,a full-scale military attack will be carried out in the region. 

This statement is related to a reconstruction plan supported by the U.S., called the Board of Peace, which is scheduled to meet on February 19. Hamas leader Mahmoud Mardawi has rejected the threats and said that the people of Palestine will not give up their arms as long as the occupation is in place. In spite of the existing truce, the area is still volatile with reports of ceasefire violations and a humanitarian crisis for the millions of people in Gaza.
